Julia Magin - Violist & Violinist

Julia Magin has been a performer and violist for 21 years. She strives to be an excellent player and genuinely enjoys providing quality music for people. During her time as a performer, she has played for weddings, events, and concerts as a violist and violinist. Before college, she took private and group lessons on viola as well as participated in her school’s Chamber Orchestra and Quartet groups. After graduating high school, she went to Roberts Wesleyan College to study and receive a BS in Music Education with a concentration in strings. During her time there, she had the privilege to participate in two different master classes, one of which was led by Phillip Ying of the Ying Quartet. In addition, she was an active member of their community orchestra and ensemble group. Currently, she is an active member of the Roberts Community Orchestra as a top violist. Moreover, she is a local private music teacher in the Rochester area. She believes her experience as a music teacher has allowed her to gain leadership and flexibility in her performing.
