Jessica Tuttobene - Cellist - NYJessica Tuttobene has played cello for 28 years. An honors graduate of Old Dominion University, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with a dual focus on Instrumental and Vocal Certification in Norfolk, VA. She studied cello, piano, and voice while attending Old Dominion University, now known as the F. Ludwig Diehn School of Music. As a part of her studies, she greatly enjoyed performances with the Orchestra, Chamber Ensembles, Chorus, Madrigals, and Jazz Choir. During her studies at ODU, she also met the other musicians who would become the fellow founding members of the Col Vita String Quartet. Over the course of her musical journey, she has studied cello with Jennifer Stomberg, Leslie Frittelli, and Kathy Kemp.
Jessica was the Orchestra Director at Azalea Gardens Middle School in Norfolk, VA from 2011 to 2018 teaching Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass in an orchestra setting. During this time, Jessica also had the honor of guest conducting All-City Orchestras in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake, VA. She also served as a Harps Instructor in the Harps on Fire program supported by Norfolk Public Schools and The Academy of Music from 2017 to 2021 in Norfolk, VA. From 2012 to 2022, Jessica played cello with the Symphonicity Orchestra of Virginia Beach in Virginia. While in the orchestra, she also performed with the Symphonicity Quartet for community outreach performances and local private events. In 2018, Jessica started Col Vita Music to share her musical passion and experience teaching music lessons from home and performing for hire at local events. After moving to Rochester, Jessica joined the Roberts Symphony Orchestra in 2021 and served as the principal cellist until 2023. Currently, she performs with the Penfield Symphony Orchestra, teaches lessons from her home in the Hilton/North Greece area, and works as a Chamber Music Coach and Chamber Music Connection String Coordinator at The Hochstein School in Rochester, NY. |
