Anna Dobrzyn - Violinist
Anna Dobrzyn started playing the violin at the age of 8 years old in Poland. She attended the Academy of Music in Lodz majoring in Violin Performance for 3 years participating in Master Classes in Lancut and Bydgoszcz and attending Orchestra Courses in Szczecin. Anna has received an Award of Distinction performing with a piano trio and has performed as a soloist in several Polish local performances. She then moved to USA transferring to Old Dominion University where she received her Bachelor of Music in 2009 in Music Education. While at ODU, Anna was awarded several scholarships for various ensembles and received a scholarship for performing on an Italian Corrochano violin. She now works at Angelico Violins in Chesapeake teaching violin, viola, and piano, in addition to being Assistant Manager of the store. On occasion, she performs with the Norfolk Chamber Consort. |
